Introduction

Here is my first post, a short introduction.  I am currently a full time graduate student at George Mason University, enrolled in their secondary education masters program.  This is my third semester, and so far I have to say so good.  Growing up I was not sure what I wanted to do for a living.  Over the years of dealing with children through coaching or working at Philmont Scout Ranch, I realized that I had a passion not only for history and the social sciences but also teaching.  Currently right now I am also a full time stay at home dad, taking care of my one son who at this moment is almost 19 months.  Juggling a weekend job, parenting and school has proven to be difficult but I've been enjoying myself so far and looking forward to graduation and teaching.  The only thing that I am actually dreading is not being able to stay with my son all day and placing him into day care, but that's just how life works.
